The Alcohol Act – Mandatory Knowledge TestThe regulations to the Alcohol Act specify that anyone responsible for selling and/or serving alcoholic beverages must have certain knowledge about the Act and the regulations. The knowledge is documented by passing the knowledge test held by the authorities. The test is mandatory for managers and deputy managers in businesses that hold licence or apply for licence to sell or serve alcoholic drinks. Also persons that wish to qualify for a future position as manager or deputy manager of such businesses may take the test. Where is the test held? The test is taken in the municipality where the business is located and where the selling or serving of alcoholic beverages will take place. Persons that wish to take the exam must contact the municipal bodies. Time and place for the test is determined by mutual agreement.
